How do you then show love and acceptance from the overflow to others in your life, your lover, your children, your business or your workspace, if you work in corporate America, your pets, love and gratitude for the things that the universe that God blesses you with, how do you show that love and acceptance? Because if you show it daily, then you will find that you really won't need a special day that the market creates to increase productivity and sales

See, I'm the kind of person that these things that kind of connect to all these holidays should be happening every day. You know, the ones you love, let them know every day. The ones you value, show them, tell them in some way, every day. Gifts, if you can do it, you don't have to spoil a person. But it's always nice, you know, the little things
I totally agree with you. I feel like every day should be Valentine's Day. And so when we think about Valentine's Day, it's usually a day of love. And so if Valentine's Day is a day of love, then every day should be a day of love, and therefore every day should be Valentine's Day. I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm anti Valentine's Day

But this oil infuser means so much more because he thought of me, he considered me, and so I've immediately put it to use. And that's why there's a photo of it. But as I was taking the photo of it, it inspired this swell, because I said, this is what Valentine's Day is about. And when I say it, I'm saying it again with air quotations. It's about those everyday things, because he and I do this for one another

Let's unpack that for a minute to allow them to really hear themselves. What are you exactly asking for? What is it that you really are seeking from the person who you care for in your life?

I want somebody to talk about that. I'm single and I'm living the Miley Cyrus right now life. The Flowers. I can buy myself flowers. I can write my name in the sand. I can talk to myself for hours. But no, really, I can buy myself all of those things. So essentially, I do kind of want someone who's going to do the same for me
And Things People In The inn are going to receive and throw in a corner of a dark closet and forget they ever got until five, six years later when they go to clean out their house and they find boxes filled with old Christmas presents, valentine's Day gifts and what have you. I don't like any of that stuff. So I've become very anti holiday from the commercial point of view

The message holds true, though, in terms of you respond on you touched on a lot of it in your your response, which is, it's important when people are in each other's lives, lovers, family, children, parents, friends, that we study and observe one another

So I'm right there with you and believe we should be doing these things from a space of choice. We should be choosing. And if you don't want to, then you don't want to, and that's fine as well. And I'm like, no, I'm not going to a bitter hand party, because that's what it is. No one wants to be there, but they're all showing up with food. Nothing like fattening food to make you feel good that you're manifest. But I don't know. I just laugh, but that's what it is. I don't want to shove a piece of cake in my mouth and to acknowledge the fact that I'd rather be somewhere else

My thing is, if you are that great of a lover to that person on a consistent basis, then there's no need to have this overtly or let me take that back overt demonstration of your air quotation, care and consideration of that person to the public. If you decide to show care, adoration, respect partization tomorrow on Valentine's Day, do it. However, do it from a space of it just happens to be a Tuesday and it happens to be Valentine's Day and you want to, not because you have to, or else. Like, what is that? Or else? I appreciate you guys chiming in on this thought piece and for sharing your perspectives and I hope that you create a wonderful rest of your Monday
So, anyways, I remember that being a Valentine's Day, even though, like, recently, in recent memory, they have my dad has gotten her things, but even, like, for the last, like, two years, she didn't get me anything for my birthday or Christmas or anything. Just like, money and that's Theo thing, I don't like to get. I hate it when people give me money and that's like I don't know, dude

Hey, it's JL. Thank you for chiming in on this thread. And you are absolutely correct. There was a time long ago that I did briefly look into the history of Valentine's Day, and it isn't anything positive about it. However, it's been marketed for financial gain to be in the air, quotation spirit of love. And people just like cattle being herded or sheep being herded, just fall in line with the concept and just do it

And because it's happening consistently, you are not going to be in theo space where you're dependent on Valentine's Day as confirmation or validation that you and this person are together or this person cares about you. The point I am making is February 14 is just another day when you're truly in a dynamic with someone, where there is that consistent display of intentional prioritization intentional time, intentional gratitude, intentional prioritization care, concern, consideration, love, affection, consistently
And I thank you so much. I could be in tears right now, realizing how much love that God allows me to receive despite me not having special someone in my life. As far as a mate goes, he blessed me tremendously with my four sons, with people that I come across every day. Just whatever he does for me, he shows his love so much. And I thank you for being so kind hearted and being open and honest to give me this confirmation
