'Robots taking away jobs’: McDonald’s opens first restaurant without employees in US

article image placeholderUploaded by @gungunbansal_
Hey guys. Welcome back to my Soilcast channel and I hope you all are doing great in this winter. Recently, McDonald's open first opened their first restaurant without employees in US. This McDonald's outlet is in White Settlement, a suburb of Fort Worth in Texas. Like can you imagine? You entered into a restaurant and there are no human beings to take your order and even to prepare your order. Instead, there our rewards to do the same

Gungun. Hoping you are doing good. Thanks for sharing such informative news here on your podcast. I think it's good to have such technology in India and I think it's not very new in India, but taking care of such technology seems a bit difficult in country like India

Will be glad. If such kind of technology will be introduced in India, why should other countries have all the fun, right?

Hey. It's really glad that you have shared this news with us. In 21st century, being surrounded by latest technology is the most amazing feeling. But I feel as if such kind of outlets will be installed in India. It would be highly appreciative

It's like somehow, you know, the human tendency in India, like Indian culture, doesn't care about others property, so there is a risk of getting damaged in such kind of outlets. So I can get your points. Thank you so much for coming here and joining my conversation. It really means a lot

Jesus f****** Christ. This is like I don't know what is. I think this is one of those times when I remember those 90s Hollywood movies they used to show about how the human generation is going to be so dependent on machines. They are going to start doing all of this. And this is I guess the start of it as we can see on a major public scale. Yeah

Hey, Gungun. Hope you're doing well. I heard your podcast. It was amazing. I like the way you point out that US is really opening up the restaurants and cafe with no human touch. But I think this shouldn't be the case. This should not happen in India. Because, as you know, we have high level of unemployment in India. So going towards the more technological side and setting up the cafes and restaurant with no human touch won't be a good idea

And the second thing you said India will cross the population being ahead of China and by the time it does and yeah, recently I have also heard about the GPD thing and I feel very amazed with it. Like, how can you do this? Sometime I struggle with a lot of things and when I put this over GPT platform, I'll get the answer in like few seconds, like minimum seconds you would say. And I would like such kind of technology should be banned in universities

You know, like how the restaurant in India works. They gives us the amazing comfort, they give us the amazing view, they give us the amazing vibe, they come up with a new idea so that people come to their places. Recently I went to a train restaurant. It's very fun

Hello, Google. I'm proud of you for sharing this news, and I really love listing the podcast. India may SC Technology aniki I think both human and technology operates together. Then just imagine how good the things can be. But yeah, excessive dependence of humans and technology g is more like a disaster. So it should happen in that way, but it should happen on the other side. Like, if both things come up in an appropriate amount, then it would be really great

How so many people are using the softwares, creating artificial art pieces just for cloud chase, and then eating up the attention of really talented artists who actually give the blood, sweat and tears and creating piece of art. In my opinion, robots and AI will definitely ease the loads of humans, but there's going to be a h*** time for humans emotionally, physically and mentally. Thank you

Having such a technology with appropriate amount of management skills can be fun. But for a country like ours, one which has such a big population, one should not replace human with technology, at least for unskilled jobs. Thank you

They were so smart that one of them was self preparing itself from connecting it from satellite. It's just so horrible to hear that if you are distracting something and it is self feeling then it will be so put us in danger. It is very nice that we can use technology in such good ways also. But it is leading us toward a future where we can be dependent upon technology only, robotics only. It is good or is it because we don't know how the future will be

Those disciplines would be robotics, of course, technology, quantum computing and artificial intelligence, and to some degree, energy battery rechargeable batteries if we move to hydrogen powered or lithium powered or whatever it is. But to a small degree, that as well. But with the advancement of these four disciplines, we will see advanced robotics inserted into the workplace and into public spaces. And so it's up to you to do the critical thinking that is required to figure out what issues will pop up because of that

My thoughts on McDonald’s Robots

So it's not like, yeah, jobs will be lost in one area, but that doesn't mean that it's an employment lost necessarily. Honestly, I don't really have much of perspective on it because I never worked in fast food, and I don't think many people should. I think fast food work is more for high school kids, at least in America. Of course, that jumps into the whole thing. Like over here we have child labor laws and all that BS
@Hypno
don't know don't knonw
@Hypno · 1:31
That could be more convenient. So why not invest in these areas which will make our life more convenient and cut off all the other rubbish. Okay, and this is just one of the examples. Another noticeable example is Amazon's drone project. They were trying to replace all these drivers or delivery guys with drones which could carry their package from the factory outlet to our home. That is also a good thing, right?
