People across the world, especially in South Asia, Africa, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean, regularly watch Bollywood films. The vast majority of viewership fall into the category of nonwhite and they look to Bollywood for transiting fashion choices, hairstyles and for information about what constitutes bullying. Film influence audience true both overt and covert messages of acceptability, beauty and normalcy. When Bollywood not only provides only extremely light skin actors as heroes and heroines, but also cause dark skinned actors as villains, seducers and scroungels
Even if a woman is comfortable with her skin tone and doesn't invest resources into the fairness beauty products industry, society is not. Women with darker complexions in India often face discrimination in the process of arranging marriages. An ideal bride, according to many Indians, is someone who is fair and slim and pseudo representation. Representation of dark skin. In Bollywood films, we have seen a lot. I mean dark skin. Also, I want to explain why does representation matter? Bollywood is one of the main cultural influencers throughout South Asia and in South Asia diaspora as well. In the right message is portrayed they there would be many fold benefits for India and its neighbors. Dark skin being represented in mainstream movies may help women and men be more secure about their periods and help them accept themselves as they are. The population of dark skinned people is significant and respectfully. Portraying them would be showing the real India

It is because of the lack of representation. That so many people in India, especially women, are facing insecurities about their own skin
We need to show what's really happening in this society. It's not only based on the colors, many other things are also there. Most of the hero or the center of the point of most of the films are also men. The female representation, European representation of women are very less so even not only in society, even in this such films and art forms. Also there are so many discriminations or ecosystems listing it's really great by yours

Hello? So, yes, I absolutely agree that we need more movies per woman are the protagonists movies with female leads which are not just, you know, produced by men. We also need more movies produced by women is where females aren't needed to be saved by men or they need a lot of interest to fix all their problems. But we need strong, independent female lead movies which would be able to live and empower women. I

In such an internationally known industry like Bollywood. I think there needs to be changed on how we perceive the casting. They should learn to appreciate talent over beauty, color, size, and the shape they come in. They should do away with the stereotype of a slim fit model. Lookalike protagonist. And I absolutely agree with every point you mentioned, especially regarding the standards set by the industry, which cannot be missed by some people, by telling into people whose skills are worth noting. But because they don't have the looks, which the industry is looking for, they are unable to succeed, which is a very sad story and which needs to be changed. And hopefully, hopefully it will change
