Great Grief - Donna Ashworth

article image placeholderUploaded by @GoodEnough
Instead, be grateful that this world produced them. Be glad that this life ever existed and that you were blessed enough to love them then and love them still. Don't fall out of love with this world because it could not keep your heart whole. Instead let love be the glue, patch it up and fill it with joy, joy that you know firsthand in this bittersweet conundrum that great grief is born only of great love

You're. Thank you so much for posting. This actually made me cry. I, too, have been in a state of very deep grief, and it has hovered over me somewhat like a metal cloud, as it does. And then there are moments when my skies are clear and the sunshine peeks through, and then they roll back in, they being those thick clouds

Having put yourself out there and loved deeply is why you grieve so deeply. So, yeah, I wasn't going to post that also because it is not my poem, but when I read it, it just hit me at the right time also. So tears are almost medicinal. We need to do that. So I'm sorry it brought you to tears, but I hope it was a release, even for a brief time. So am so grateful that you two appreciated it
