Good enough is really okay.

And then it just came out of my mouth naturally to just say hey, I'm good enough. And but as I listen to people, so many people are like phenomenal, I'm doing phenomenal, I'm doing amazing. And I know that there's some people that are not doing well at all and they probably aren't vulnerable to really go there and let people know how they are doing or struggling but when the definition of good enough would be like you're adequately doing good for your circumstances

And it's like people like us, we're coming out of the matrix of being robotic with our responses, right. And we're showing up how we show up, and we're showing up to our best capacity and we're being honest about it. And one thing we know about this society is that they're not as honest and transparent with feeling hurt or disappointed

And if that's the connotation they've added to that phrase then they have no other way for them to take it especially if that's the common way that they're used to hearing it. I was wondering I wonder if the response would be different if the phrase well enough was used different. You know what I mean? But I don't know because just as I thought they're using the words engagement or concerns in those particular contexts were clear

It's a really interesting reflection on the conditions that I'm in that I don't have people around me that say they're amazing or phenomenal unless they're saying it as a sort of in a sort of fatigious way. A lot of the people who say, hey, how are you? The response tends to be, I'm I'm good. I'm all right. And you sort of know, like, it's that good enough

So coming up with a different greeting and passing is something that I think I'm going to think about. Like when you say hello and you keep walking. Sometimes when I come upon somebody, I just actually give them a big smile, and I don't slow down. Smiles are contagious, and sometimes that can be enough

I don't know if it's just the people that I'm surrounded with, but I hear that word used so much and applied to oh, my gosh, a spaghetti sauce or a blueberry muffin. I kind of feel like people just need to have something in their life that just stands out. Nobody seems to be content. Like I'm ready to just start using words like, how are you doing? I'm subpar or mediocre. That meal was mediocre

@GoodEnough

And I just sort of chalked it up to be some sort of word of the day. Let's say I don't know if I want to say generation because I don't know what generation they are. And I don't know if it was just them or like, now I'm hearing from you there's more people using it, so maybe there's something more widespread. But yeah, I suppose it's like any of the words that people use cool, rad, awesome

I just had to quickly respond to your reply. I think you are so funny. I was thinking maybe, what have you been up to or how you're doing, what you've been doing? Maybe you could reply that you're doing underwater basket weaving or something like that. Sounds phenomenal. But seriously, you had mentioned that you have some health problems, and I myself do, my whole family does
@SeekingPlumb

@GoodEnough

Okay. I'm sticking that one in my back pocket. Underwater basket weaving. I like that. Thank you. I hope you have a good day, too
