Editing challenges

article image placeholderUploaded by @goatea
Hey, swell. Checking in here. Another day of editing had a challenging day editing because I'm trying to describe something that's very complicated visually in a short amount of time. I'm doing this segment on DNA, splicing and CRISPR technology and doing that all within less than 20 seconds. I don't want to oversimplify it, but at the same time, I don't want to make it so complicated that you don't understand what's happening

You don't have time for that because there's an interesting debate, ongoing debate about the ethics behind what you would do if you could do anything with our DNA. And she's actually called for a bit of a moratorium on going too far with this technology. Even though she develops, it gets even deeper. There's legal battles between Berkeley and Harvard because there's another professor at Harvard who worked on it with her, and they're battling between who has ownership of this

That's a good point on the legal challenges. We do cover that a little bit. And I know we might augment that a little bit in this act because I think I want to learn more about what that is. And thanks for bringing that up between the universities. And I didn't know that she actually the creator of this was actually challenging whether this should be used or not. That's fascinating. It's kind of like Elon Musk talking about AI
