My First Great (1997)

At one point I was able to recite a moment's kiss and premonition, word for word, with all the emotion of an 18 year old lovesick puppy. These are poems with a specific muse in mind. Jessica. I course on her so hard, she led me into the military and she got me through it. I had her picture in a keychain frame, which I tied around the drawstrings of my PT shorts and boot camp. She was a real angel

My First Great: The Muse (1997) part 2

I would print out her emails and read them all day and take them to my bunk at night so I could read them before bed. I even told her about Teresa. Teresa had known about her too. She thought I was too hung up on the past and that I wasn't giving anybody else a chance. I was wasting my time being hung up on a girl back home. We had finally gotten friendly. While we were underway, we would chat in each other's rooms and share music

This one was excellent. Made me kind of tear up when you said that. Maybe if you fell in love with a girl, you know, you would have that shot at normalcy. That made me cry a little bit. Sorry. I don't know. This one was great. I'm a fan. What can I say?

Wow. Your empathy is unreal. Not a lot of people can do that. You should be proud

And I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry. Remember, almost all of this is fun. It's just that sliver that gets back to you. I appreciate you

I'm a nerd. Lmao

No, it's okay. I appreciate it. I'm elected tortured artist. The sadder, the better. The more emotional, the better. I don't know if I've told you this before, but my grandpa was a chief petty officer in the Navy. He was pretty cool. But anyway, I hope that you have time to do some more I it today, but if not, I completely understand, because you actually have probably things to do. Okay. Bye

Like, we don't even completely separate it. But the chief prices up through the ranks and has the experience where, even as an enlisted, you could see them telling what to do, because, again, no matter what your rank is, the only thing that can beat it would be knowledge and experience. And I learned that the hard way, because if they depend on you, the dynamic of that power dynamic is called get shifted, because it becomes a thing of more respect

❤️you are awesome

I guess some people's lives are exactly what they planned out, but I think that's the beauty unit is not knowing, and then it completely f****** you and then making s*** out of molehill, like with lemons, and you go to with the three wise guys to the bridge, but you don't jump off because your friend did. You know what I'm saying? I don't even know. I'm sorry. Yeah

And it was a new school all the time, and you were new all the time, but then, so was everybody else, except this one time when we went from Washington State to South Carolina and we thought, oh, here we go again. And we got down there and of course, some of the kids that we were in school with there, because we were in the military school at that time, their dads were on the same ship

https://s.swell.life/STCBqyfLUQyraBv - heres the soundcloud version of My First great.

So yes, I also am on the corporate side of things now, but I got a lot of things going on as well. I think during my breaks I will post more, but in the meantime, check out my SoundCloud. This is the version of my first great rate. I really like the storytelling medium because we can have a discussion about it
