I gave my doctor a gift today!

And so I said to him, can I please just come on board as a new patient? And he explained to me that this is a political thing, that he has to basically steal me from another doctor. And I said, let's do it. So he agreed to it. And today he said that he's not always going to be at this free medical center, he'll be at another place, but he's always going to give me treatment for free because he heard my story

He's a rebel in the system

And he said, gave me some explanation. It's almost like I can't remember what the explanation inferred, but he's putting his foot down. He's very intelligently, reading the fine print and saying, this is what we're allowed to do and this is what will benefit both of us. Because it's not just that he's supportive of me. He's also thinking about his own practice as a doctor and how it benefits him with time and other things like that

You don't want someone who's kind of searching and looking for the answers to help you because that's what you're doing. So that you found someone who's knowledgeable and who's capable but also kind and attentive and respectful. It's huge. And giving them that person a gift. We have to all understand that those in service, including yourself, never get enough acknowledgement and love and response in the time frame that you're actually feeling the most exhausted and depleted

But what I recall is in 2021, when I became a survivor of domestic violence and it was actually my first appointment with her to establish care, and she was going through my health history and I burst into tears. And now, you know, for business purposes, because health care is a business, there's an appointment time slot, and I had far exceeded that appointment time slot. But I sat there and sobbed. I mean, a deep sob where I could not even catch my breath

What unbelievable experience you had with that nurse. She gave me the time of day. I'm so sorry to hear that you had to experience a domestic violence situation and I'm really glad that you're out of it now. And it sounds like you've changed your life into an incredible thing. What a confident and realized person you've become. The gift giving comes from my maternal grandmother. She was such a sweet, kind person and she was very generous. She was renowned for her generosity

He is able to give you a patient here and also come back to you with solutions that will address the problems from time to time. Right. Because I think it must be such a relief for you, reassurance that even if you have things under control, there is always a doctor that you can rely on if you have a bad day. So wonderful to hear there's. And I think he deserves that gift. Yeah

Hey, Sreeja. Thanks for dropping in. Yeah, it is like the universe conspired. Maybe well wishes from people. And my own manifestation powers. There. Yeah, there's no no solutions for this particular disease. But that's okay. And I'm managing it, like you said. And as you said, it's just so nice to have a doctor who is there for the bad days when he can help me with other things. And you know what?
