and Toys Bleed #swellthought

Today we find ourselves in the midst of a similar predicament, where, caught in the middle of the geopolitics, religion, nation, state and war, countless children have their future taken from them. They did not bargain for this. They did not vote for this, and they didn't have the time to evolve from divine consciousness into human unconsciousness. But here we are, as always, stealing the future from our children so we can validate our ego

Who pays the HIGHEST price in any war? Children! Do you think our species has historical amnesia? #poetry #askswell #war #geopolitics

And I was taken in front of a little boy holding a small toy and then hoping that the place where he is now, it's not a safe haven for him and he's in the midst of war and whatever he gets is out of mercy of somebody else's thing. It's like he's living on a charity part of it. The beauty of that poem is that it makes you think more deep. And I felt more grateful to God for giving me such comforts

@peeli - thank you ! You've done what many more of us should do: simply acknowledge. Also sharing the story and reason behind this poem in my reply.

Hello, Prithi. Good morning and happy Monday. I hope you're having a great start to your day and your week. Thank you for chiming in and replying. I appreciate it. And something that you said struck a nerve about feeling privileged, being privileged. I remember wrestling with this sense of privilege back in the day, I think back in two and 19 when I wrote this poem

I think when the poem comes straight from this heart, it has a different meaning. So keep writing, because you have something in you. So take care. Bye

Good morning, Mr. George. This is the first time that I am listening a swell from you, not to mention that I have heard your replies to some of our mutual cast friends. But this is the first time that I listened to your creation and what a wonderful piece. You are absolutely master of rhymes, hence justifying your name also georhymes. So that was wonderful, but I'll come to that later. But there is something that has deeply moved within me and I'm so ached

It's not a small thing at all. And I understand when you mean or when you say that you're affected and how the news and all these things have affected you. At that time, when I wrote this poem, I was pretty much affected too. And in fact, perhaps this poem was a way to get that out of my system. Otherwise I don't think I would have been able to sleep that night

I pointed that out to him and proceeded to respond to me with effectively a longer message that was doubling down on what he was saying. If these kids are the kids of wrongdoers, then they deserve what's coming to them. And I struggle to A, relate to that ideology at all or line of thinking at all, but B how do we arrive at a place where a child, someone who is at not only the beginning of their life, but somebody who can be molded right?

@Taylor 💯

And I don't want to take sides or say anything privileged right now, because I am speaking from a point of privilege, sitting in the comfort of my room, talking into my phone, but thank you for sharing your personal story, a recount of the conversation that you had with this person. And yes, you're right

And the players are not ready to get to the dialogue table and have a reasonable discussion about it. It's just appalling how people choose violence, how people choose violence over a rational discussion, how people choose to kill other people over protecting them. It's just heartbreaking in so many ways
