Visibility for Chronic Illness

article image placeholderUploaded by @futurenmdyogi
And I was first diagnosed with this back in April of 2017 by having an adrenal crisis which is life threatening and actually can result in death fairly quickly. Addison's disease is an autoimmune condition in which the adrenal glands are attacked by the immune system, basically rendering part two layers of the adrenal glands insufficient of producing the hormones that they would naturally produce, which is cortisol and aldosterone. So I have to be on daily hormone replacement medication in order to survive

Thank you so much for your share. My name is Mabel. It's a pleasure to virtually meet you. I too have a chronic illness, and they're invisible. Well, one is a little bit more visible than the other, so my autoimmune system is just in a constant chaos, right? It's just very unhinged. So I suffer from fibromyalgia algae. I also have IBS lactosentroler, which a lot of people are, but whatever

Hi, Mabel. Thank you so much for your lovely reply. Yeah, as you said, it's so incredibly important, especially for us, those of us that are living with chronic illness, to have a sense of community
