What if Swell was only about The Conversation?

If you were to get that much, we've all had those moments right where we went viral, mini viral and we just made a post that just ignited. It just went just up in flame. I had one post on Instagram. I had over 2000 likes. I had one that hit 5000 likes. I was excited, fist pumping in the air. It felt like, finally, people understand, but you just have these moments

No ๐Ÿ‘โ€˜s, no ๐Ÿ‘โ€˜s, no ๐Ÿคฃโ€˜s, no ๐Ÿ™โ€™s , or ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€™s. #dopamine #conversation

Hey, Devon, very interesting question, and I look forward to hearing from the rest of this. Well, community, there is just one aspect of your question that I wanted to respond to, which is is the presence of reactions we have from the very beginning wanted Swell to be a place for thoughtful conversations. So we did play around with the idea of where people recorded their own reactions and just posted those

Thank you immensely for the response! @sudha

But anyhow. Yeah, the reactions to the post I do find interesting because I do feel like it's a certain psychological thing psychological programming that's going on in a good way. I feel it's in some ways necessary, and it's synonymous with social media to where if you don't have it, people would probably complain Where's the like button at why can't I like a person's post?

A necessary shorthand, particularly here on Swell. @Dewuan.Is.Soft

I sort of think of the emojis as necessary shorthand, particularly here on Swell, like they allow us to expand how we communicate, and in that way they add value to our use of the app. I mean, Sudo already talked about how without them the flow of conversation is lost and dissolved. I think also, if you look at a Swell, maybe that's four or five minutes long say there was something funny in the beginning, but by the end, it's really rather serious

Good point. @SeekingPlumb

I mean, personally, for me, side Note Sidebar I don't think really any emojis really express sadness to me. It all seems silly when emojis are supposed to convey real, like, serious emotions. It doesn't really register, and I kind of just laugh at it most of the time. But back to the matter at hand, the reaction emojis. Yes, it is cool that people are able to utilize them here and without them
@SeekingPlumb

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป are kind of multi purpose... @Dewuan.Is.Soft

I completely agree that sometimes the thumbs up is not very appropriate. It's a frustration I find on Instagram as well, but I kind of find the praying hands to be multipurpose as maybe a thank you or I'm sorry. At least that's how I end up using it
