Have you ever taken.. The Test?

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
Have you taken the personality test before? If so, when you got your findings, did it resonate with you and you carried it on in other aspects of your life? Or was it just simply something you did? You took it. It was fun and you never thought about it again. I'd be curious to know. And I think the people would be curious to know about that as well

If So.. were you satisfied with your results?

And it's been really interesting to see that that's my personality and that's how it sticks every time I take it years spread out. It's still the same. So I think that it's reflective to some extent. I think it also depends on the mood you're in when you're taking the test and what other aspects of life might be affecting you at that time

What’s your type @JCB07 ? 🤔

But I'm curious as to what your personality type is. And you said you've gotten it consistently. So that's cool. And you also have pointed out that there can be some drawbacks to the personality typing. I totally agree. It is an estimation of who you are and not set in stone. But of course, when people take a test and the test spits out these sort of results, ultimately, people will feel as though it should be either 100% them or nothing at all

I find that more flexibility is needed as well when you're kind of very close on the binary. So if you're actually looking at the numbers often there are ratio up to ten. Right. So if you're like a five five, what's the determining factor? I definitely noticed that some tests will be, you know, there will be variations

Dope!!! @JLMcMillan

But when you don't have a practitioner of the MBTI who is well informed on the cognitive functions, and they just tell you to take this test because it's for your job, they're thinking more just a work environment sort of thing, and not so much as in you, the person, what you want to personally do with it, that's up to you. And when I'm on the podcast, I'm going to get more in depth with it

Hey, Dewuan, this is so cool to be talking about this again. You're reminding me of things that I did learn in further detail and I've since forgotten. So I'm really on board for any subsequent conversations or podcasts. Please tag me if it's on swell

Boxes @JLMcMillan

There's actually something I use on dates, actually, or when I'm getting to know a Lady, I can sort of piece together information as well as let's say, if this is online, the dating app, or even the way they take selfies and I can make a guess like you are an introvert, aren't you? I could tell the way. Yeah, you're right

Feeling vs Thinking in Jungian Terminology. @JLMcMillan

I'm thinking like over spans of civilization and through different species and in centuries, what has this feeling come to mean? And why is it important? That's how I will break it down. But I find that NFS they don't feel that's necessary, and it's losing the point of the real issue, which is the ideal of the people of the self. So hopefully that can clear it up a bit more

Hey Dewuan, what you said about the boxes and the home base and growth that was so bang on. That was so well said. Thank you very much. I'm still really muddled. I think over the feeling and the thinking. I definitely understand MBTI and Youngin theory and psychology well enough to know to not conflate them with actual thinking or actual feeling or being overly emotional. And so on. I still have trouble with the way that I'm tested

Answer them as quick as you can. The longer you take, the more you can mess up your results because you're thinking too much into it. It's like you're trying to get a right answer rather than just the best answer that you can give within the circumstances. It's my only bit of advice I can give. Obviously, you know how to take tests, but similar issues people have had in the past with this

Hey Dewuan, this is really cool. I'm going to start calling you the MBTI Doctor. I really like that. There is a test that's more fine tuned and I don't quite understand the nuance of it. So I'm excited to study it further. I will attach just a screenshot of my results which were mixed and tied. I'd love to hear what you think about them. Thanks

I’d say you’re indeed an INFP based on the results. @JLMcMillan

So this rules out INTP right off the top rules out INTP, because INTPs their inferior function is feeling. So that would be the lowest for them. Typically, actually your lowest lowest, I think, is your intuition, which is very interesting. Let's look at it. Yeah. Extroverted intuition is your lowest, which is very fascinating to me because it kind of shouldn't be. If you were an INFP. Well, ENFP, surely it would be problems because that's your leading function

I know you've been talking about this topic for a while, and there are people who get trained in it. So it's a real gift that you're sharing the information about how specifically each category interacts. That's the kind of next level stuff that most of us can't take away, even if we've taken a course on it. It's sort of the stuff for practitioners of sorts

INTP but unsure

It matches with my zodiac signs and the personality traits that results came out. But I think maybe deep down somewhere, I'm still exploring myself a lot. So I will keep that in mind. And whenever I see some trades that are matching the personality, I would definitely explore more on it. So I guess yeah, that's me

Hello INTP 🤝 @Rover_Phoenix

According to MBTI, because INTP and ISTP have one thing in common, they both share a dominant function. So it's very clear to me that you Jared, naturally an introverted thinker. So. Therein you get these descriptors of what an INTP is like, and maybe not all of them line up with you. Right. But some of them do

@FryedOreo

Hey, you're so right. Fred Oreo, there are some negatives with all the positives. Obviously, we are all flawed. And that's some great insight to take into 2022. So yeah, this has been really helpful. But and listening to some of the responses here and I think it's good for people to take some of these personality tests
