The Phrase That Pays?

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
You're. Hello. This is Fried Oreo. Please like and subscribe. And I'm curious, when did this phenomena begin where we had to keep saying please like and subscribe? Are you as likely to take the action when I tell you to please like and subscribe? It's actually called a call to action. Various things is reminding people to hit the bell so you'll get notified and as always, to please like and subscribe. Obviously, this started from YouTube, right?

Or is this the phrase of automatons?

The other thing is you have to have some sort of social currency in order for people to have some sort of respect. If they don't know who you are and you want to have a conversation with them, you have to somehow get your foot in the door. And some people do that with acronyms after their name or degrees or job titles, et cetera. And if not that, then check out my website or check out my social platform subscribe and like blah, blah, blah

But yeah, going back to what I mentioned, if your content is engaging enough, then certainly you will never have to do that again. Not you in particular, but just anybody that does that sort of thing. But these are my thoughts. I'm probably going to reply to a lot more of your swells. My responses nowadays are only to is only to content that actually does engage and interest me. And this obviously hit that note. I hope you're doing well. Professor. 42 out

I am playing the game because I am here still and I am still making content, I'm still putting myself out here in spite of the fact that it's going to generate me follows, it's going to generate me responses, it's going to generate likes

But now it's all in a matter of seconds. You can reach 50 people. And of these 50 people, you tell them, hey, please, like and subscribe. But is there a bit of insincerity in that? Is that best used for the business end of things? Is a person telling you indirectly that they are a business or commodity the moment they say please like and subscribe? Some people may say yes, some people may say no

There was a time when you were able to make money without being censored. But now, YouTube, they need to advertise and stuff like that. But yeah, it's a business strategy, right? Or is there a tactic strategy? Please like and subscribe. So, yeah, if you really think about it, please like and subscribe, it's like saying, please make me famous. Peace out, brother

And hopefully, if there's any longevity, it can be lucrative for all parties involved. But with social media, it changed everything. Think about it. How much content creators out there have a marketing team, a PR team behind them when they start out. You don't you actually kind of have to be your own PR and marketing and all that sort of stuff
