Adulting: Name Brands

It doesn't hold that much weight of value to me anymore, as it once did when I was younger. Even clothes fashion. I find myself now wanting to get fashion from Target. Last three or four shirts I've bought have been from Target. People said they liked the shirts. Yeah, it was a cheap shirt compared to what I used to buy my sneakers. Now those are one things that I do. It's different with the sneakers, but yeah, my fashion sense is changing

Does frugal spending require maturity and wisdom?

Sometimes the white labels are the same company

Now, for me personally, it's all about a function of quality and function and the quality. I can really substitute quality in a lot of things, but for some things, I cannot and you alluded to one of them like an Apple product. Maybe you do not want to substitute anything like that. Me back when I did buy suits, I was pretty particular about what suit brand I liked, and I really didn't want to go away from that. I know what I liked

Smoking Mirrors.

And for the longest time, people thought that companies like Nike and Levi's and Stuff were giving away their premium stuff at a really cheap price. But what was really going on is that these companies are actually making it discounted friendly. So it was made with, like, degrade materials, cheaper materials. Yeah. Especially when it comes to the sneakers and stuff. There are a lot of sneakers they sell. They often are defective in some way, shape or form

Age vs Indoctrination: A $2700 handbag @Phil @Wuandurful

So a while ago, probably two years ago, I decided that my online clothes addiction had to stop. I had way too many clothes. I was buying things. I didn't need it. I was giving clothes away and I decided that because of the planet and environmental concerns, I was going to just stick to thrift shops. Now in Australia, we call them op shops, which is easy to say. So I'm going to stick to that. It's short for opportunity shops

@Phil @Wuandurful

Ironically, I know I'm just talking a lot this morning. Sorry, Dewuan and Phil. Ironically, that leather handbag, the stitching came undone. I had to restitch it by hand. And that's not easy, considering it's leather. So I don't know. Is it because it's old doesn't look that old? Or is it because something that actually costs $2,700? Isn't that good quality? A label doesn't mean quality, which is what Phil talked about as well

@GeorgieDee,@MerelyHuman,@Wuandurful Otc drugs...name brand or generic?

But if it's the same chemical, I'm always intrigued why people will pay more to have that name brand. And I've heard people say, Well, the generic stuff just doesn't work, and I honestly can't believe that it's the same chemical. It's going to have the same reaction in your body no matter what. But yet the name brands. And I'm just curious, just doing kind of impromptu survey when it comes to the drugs, the OTC drugs

Personalised service @Phil 😅🤣

Dr. Phil, can I call you Dr. Phil? Alright. So Squidsy down the high street, he's got a really nice brand of purple Censure, and he says he's got a really nice body feel not so much in the head, but it takes you to the relaxing places in your body, what we all need. And then there's Fatty and he lives down the little street in the back of the Village. And he's got one that we like to call Purple Rain

I’m cheap when it comes to medicine. @Phil

Most of the time I could go into another subject, but that's a little too personal. I was going to go into another subject. But when it comes to sexual protection, contraceptives, I've kind of learned too to kind of go the non large bit like they want so much money, male condoms, they want a lot of money. My God, they really didn't hit me until I was broke
