Trauma

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
You trauma. What comes to mind when you hear this very potent and powerful emotional word? Let me hazard a guess. You're thinking maybe of, like, some war torn country, right? Some traumatic experience? Experience life or death, right? We often accompany the thought of trauma with something extreme, an extreme set of circumstances. But what about things like childhood neglect? Not in the sense of you going without and being malnourished and starving as a child, but starving for affection from your parents

What comes to mind when you hear this word?

You what you speak of is something that I suffer from. I think I think maybe it could be classified under complex PTSD, which is ongoing trauma, usually from childhood, that negatively affects us in certain ways, especially dealing with relationships. Right. So think therapy is a good option. And I think it is a big trauma. It's a big trauma because it's emotional neglect, and children thrive on emotion, on love

You. Hello, Renee. Thank you for responding to the swell cast, as always. And, yes, I wanted to open up the floor for a conversation that could perhaps be a bit sensitive, but I feel I have the sensitivity to talk about it. Trauma is a very Lucifer and scary thing because most people tend to think of trauma as something as a major event. Major event. Major abuse. Physical abuse, major emotional abuse

So for some it is therapeutic to talk about it amongst people who also go through the same condition or have the same diagnoses and hopefully they've officially got it done, whereas some people, they can read something online and say, oh, that's me and there you go. I'm noticing this with autism as well

This traumatic experience is exhausting, bro. At least personally, for me, dealing with it is exhausting. So seeing a therapist, I can see why you may need to see a therapist, because there are certain things we just want to get off our chest. There are certain things that we don't need our family members to hear, close ones, even friends. There are certain things that we may need professionals

So they're in a weird quandary of a spot. But most of us sane, normal people, if that's a thing, well, psychopaths aren't really insane. They are very sane. They just have a tendency to choose to be a certain way. But getting beside the point here, I think if you surround yourself with a great circle, it can help. But there is a part of that that could be amiss. Getting in terms of that internal dialogue, that introspection
