My Complicated experience with *being liked.

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
I used to equate this as to. Well, you know, people just don't like me as much, but that's not it. That's not it because there's so much nuance to being liked. Do I like Dave Chappelle? Yes. Do I go to his house and visit him? No. Have I ever directly paid for any of his work? I don't think so. I don't think I ever have, but I still like his material

How do you express your fondness for someone? #liked

Liking content on social media is different than commenting on it.

So personally, I don't get offended. I try not to think about it too much because guess what? Most platforms you can tell that people are listening. You can tell that people are viewing using analytics. And just because they don't comment doesn't mean they don't like it. It just means maybe I haven't said something impactful enough to make them use the extra couple of minutes or the extra effort to reply. So anyway, thanks for sharing this

The title drew me in because of my experiences, and I just told you that, but I definitely wanted to say that, man, just being liked, period, is a hard thing. Like your responder. I didn't catch your name. I just jumped in. I'll reflect on that on the next one. I do in a few minutes. But, man, it's hard to connect with people, and I've got several different platforms right now that I have a content creator

I'll be very naked in telling anybody I'm talking masculine or feminine. I'm very comfortable with myself. First of all, I've been hurt so many times that it doesn't even f****** matter anymore about rejection and hurt pain, all that s*** I'm done with guilt, shame, regret and stuff like that

@shelfaddiction stats

So only 20% of the people that are on social media are actually engaging. I also want to put a picture here of what our profiles look like. Each of our profiles have a little thing in the middle called stats, and you could always see the activity of listeners and replies. So it helps sort of frame what's going on? Your particular posts that you initiate, not your responses, but your initiated mother swells, as I call them. Kind of interesting to look at that

Great points you gave @shelfaddiction

You can't go to a post and see the stat outline and see how much listings it got. So it used to be something I considered a really disadvantage on Swell, but I think because I don't have it, it actually gives me more of that starving desire to be creative to get a response from someone such as yourself. Thank you very much, and it means more to me than simply a reaction. Some people can do that on Swell

Thank you for your honesty @Enfinit

I am here first and foremost to entertain and by my means of entertainment, it is to delve deep into the psyche of me, I guess, and people that are listening are allowed to go on this journey with me and thought and can share their thoughts with me, and we can have a great conversation from it. But that is where it begins. For me. This is not a place where I've said this many times
