What music service suits your needs?

For some reason, there's this big need for folks to share their accomplishments, quote unquote that they listen to some artists the most, and they listen to over 300 new genres of music, and that's considered growth. And mainly I'm just s******* on people's parade. That's fine, right? That's fine. But I'm just not a music sharer like that. And my music listening habits are like awful

Do you feel compelled to share your playlist with others? #music #streaming

@Wuandurful

Hey Dewuan, I like that question. My Goto music streaming is solidly Spotify, and I think the reason for that is I've been using Spotify for I since the mid 2000s. I think 2008 or thereabouts and back then they allowed you to sync your itunes library into other desktop app and kind of work right side by side with itunes and Spotify. So I've been on there since then and I kind of gravitate towards them

Oh yes. I’m a sharer. #Spotify

There are actually playlists on Spotify of music that has appeared in Target commercials, and I enjoy those playlists and mainly the new discovery I get from the radio. Listen to College stations in town. It's always challenging the public stations or specialty shows. Different genres really enjoy. Oh, when I visited Minneapolis, the current man, that was a great station, I've downloaded their app and I'll listen to them even though they're far away. I really enjoy what the DJs put together

Efficiency is key @Rayga

I tend to use it like a YouTuber more so than like a radio person or podcaster. But anyway, it's a whole other conversation, the radio itself. I know you got the Ham radio and stuff, so it's probably just so natural for you in the car to just listen to the radio at times, because when you're on the road, sometimes you don't want to really mess with tapping on screens and stuff. You kind of want to pay attention to the road

Music connects us all. @Tim

So I was trying to create story narratives that were accompanied by the music. So I noticed a lot of people would just put songs they liked in their podcast, and that's where I realized, oh, I can do something different with this. I'm a fan of Spotify for that also with Instagram. Yeah, big fan. But with the integration of other apps

Lispy Reply 😅 @Tim @Wuandurful @Rayga Well done Ray = Music background 👍

The other way I experienced music is when anybody gets in my car, I've got an Ox cable Ox chord that goes into my stereo, and I let them hook their phone up to it, and they play me what they like. That's a great way of experiencing new music, especially the young people in my life, like my son and my younger friends, that really opens up your mind to new music

UK Georgie! @GeorgieDee

Georgie, thank you for responding to the swell. What's funny is that with your lisp, you sound more like you're from the UK than ever. As typically, you sound like an Australian. So take of that, which you will. And that's very interesting how your musical taste? Because your musical taste is kind of intimidating because you actually perform music with instrument as well as singing and stuff

And give them all the cereal they want, as long as it's not a high sugar cereal. Okay. Hey, I'd love to hear the songs that you're interested in. I don't want your Instagram stories. Sorry, but you don't watch mine either. It's slide into my DMs other and send me some songs I want to hear. I'm always open to new music. I'm obsessed with it. I have music in my head constantly Dewuan

Vinyl and cassettes are where it’s at.

Wonderful. Hey, it's rare. Todd, what's going on? I'm from one of those other apps. Remember, I'm still in the vinyl. Man. Made the mistake of selling some of my records, and I regret it. Back when I stopped doing social audio for a while. There's nothing to do with it, but I made the mistake of selling some of my records, and I missed them. I still have some, and I still have cassettes

Vinyl is hard work! Lol @Raretodd

Sorry to hear about your collection kind of being sold off, but I'm guessing you got a pretty Penny for it because you wouldn't have bothered if it was just chump change. Actually, vinyl has not even made a huge comeback. It's been persistently doing its thing throughout the digital age and the MP Three S and the Napsters, and all that stuff is still going of persisting as an appreciated art form of music. So that's major props to that? Major props to that. Indeed

Music blasting through my lifted truck and all this s***, don't care, don't give a f*** about the world got my weed blunt burning and I'm driving under the influence of the Holy green? The Holy tree, the Holy grass, the Holy gas, the Holy Moly I don't give a f***. But the point is that Unfortunately I listen to my music via YouTube music now

Zune 😨 @LordOfTheGrief

Music for YouTube music isn't dependent on the music that's out there and popular, and you can find some really obscure s*** on YouTube and Port it over to YouTube music. There's only been a few instances where a song I found on YouTube I couldn't play on YouTube music. Odd as s***. It just wouldn't work, but that's only happened. I think one time I can think of. But yeah, YouTube music is a strong second for me

What about audio quality? Does it matter?

I'm still using Spotify because I got too many apps attached to it. But anyway, I want to say that I can tell the difference between the two the lossless and the lossy Codex, but I don't know that I can. And if I can, I took the test, the NPR test, where they give you three different sample rates. I got five out of six, the right sample rate for high res audio

I care about audio quality with my means of production. @Raretodd

So this mic preamp has compression. It has noise gate. It has voice enhancer, low and high filter. So it's premium sound. But for Lemur. Sorry, lemur too. No, not Lemur. Lemur is good, actually, but swell. It made no difference. It sounded the same. So I'm guessing this is how they save money with this audio quality they have here. But no, I'm not that big of a music fan to even get title

Wannabe audiophile

I've got another set of speakers I got for free off of Craigslist and with an old Sony receiver, and I got an eight track player, and both my tape decks are caput. One of them is in the shop. I think I mentioned that already, and I got another set of free speakers, and they'd look like h***, but they're free, and they sound good, so that's good

I guess. Like I said, maybe podcast or something like that. But yeah, I'm a sneakerhead. I'm kind of a little a*** about that, even though I ain't bought none in a while. But yeah, when I do buy some, I don't go to footblocker online only. It's pretty much where I can

@Wuandurful @Raretodd 🍷

My son is a musician, and my dad used to give me and my brother, this is cool, man, because I was a girl, but he used to give us both of us lessons in hooking up amplifiers, to speakers, to stereos to turntables and lessons in graphic equalizers. And we had live music around us all the time as well because so many musicians in the family, my uncle as well as a musician

@Wuandurful @GeorgieDee

I watched this one guy who calls himself his Andrew Robinson, and he's always interviewing the newest speakers and sometimes other have a piece of vintage equipment and his handle on Instagram or whatever is recovering audio file because he went through a phase where he bought $1,000 audio cables and had them mounted above the floor so that the audio quality was the best it could possibly be. And that's the kind of audio file I don't want to be
