Karen

article image placeholderHow the Karen Meme Confronts History of White Womanhood
So I thought to myself, wow, what a great hustle. You eat the food, then you complain about it and you can not have to pay anything and you get coupons. That was to me, a Karen before there was Karen, but all black men. Sorry, not just men, but black people know that Karen. We've encountered that Karen when we were at a store or even at sometimes a school or whatever. It may be somebody who's just really elitist in nature

War on Karen #WoK #getWoK

Yeah, I avoid using racial slurs. I don't even want them in my head. So let's see. I personally view Karen as a dangerous element in our society. Yeah, she gets a little petty sometimes in restaurants and in retail establishments. But when she does things like call the police on people, she gets to be very dangerous. If it's peaceful around you, ignore it

Wage war, indeed! @Neopatriarch

Neopatriarch. Thank you for taking the time to respond to this. Well in regards to the slur, or is it Karen? I for one, find humor in it and stated often slurs against white people aren't slurs at all due to the fact that they have benefited from systematic racism. So it's kind of hard to find a really destructive word for whites when they're stereotyped as smart and intelligent beings who are well off

Slurs, stereotypes, and reality.

Now, I know that the numbers are off, and you can put it towards racism, or you can put it to where these people live. Not necessarily an issue of color. It's an issue of an out of control police force that have been militarized, and they treat their neighborhood as us against them. And they are the enemy. And many of those comps are coming from a wartime situation. So they are treating them as combatants. They're even dressing as militarized combatants

Can racism ever truly end? 🤔 @Neopatriarch

Troubling topic, isn't it? Because on the surface, racism seems like something we can overcome simply by just refraining from using slurs and not seeing in people as stereotypes and as human beings. But the fact that we are human beings is why we see people as stereotypes and can occasionally use a slur or two that we are not even aware of. Microaggression racism occurs also. So I think what we're doing now is the process

@Dewuan.Is.Soft

If it can happen, one on one, it can happen in the bigger group, because there are no such thing as groups that are only individuals in groups. They might be following a leader, but they're all acting individually. Anyway. I just wanted to share that with you, and I'm going to keep listening to your talks, and hopefully we can continue a relationship online. This way. I enjoy reaching out, not always talking about this

Thank you for your replies @Neopatriarch

I like racism to like a dark emotion. It's along other with killing, right? How many times have we thought in our life that we wanted to kill somebody? Maybe once, maybe twice. But we never acted on it, right. How much time have we thought a certain thing about a certain race? Just as a flash. It could be a little tiny spark, but it's there because it's human. It's human to do these things
