Have you Updated the Swell App?

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
So I guess we just have to wait and see. Maybe by next week everybody will be updated. Maybe 70% of the people they use well will update. I know some people have a hard time updating anything because they just refuse to because they don't want anything to change. But that's from my understanding, possibly what's going on with that particular feature set is that in order for a person to see how it was intended, they would have to update

You should.

For what it's worth, I manually updated my Android version when I saw The Swell come out that there was a new version. But when I went to open it on my old iOS device because I accidentally opened it, another story. It informed me that I could not proceed without updating. So there may be a notification for Android versions as well. Just throwing that out there

I just elected to update. So I don't know, maybe that could be the case for some people I know, like Bernie Topgold, he is an avid fan of Never Updating and I think it's almost fun for him to have devices that are old that run the oldest version of an app, at least until it crashes and doesn't work

Welcome to Swell!

And I'm like, Are you going to crash my thing here? Because I'm not ready to give it up. Because although they say it's still compatible, sometimes that's not exactly accurate. Anyway, but I will always update the newest features on an app I'm using regularly

It's Brother Dewuan. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yeah, I don't feel around my updates, bro. Nah, I do my updates. That's part of my daily regiment, among other things that I do when I get up in the morning. But yes, just because I have my phone plugged in at night and they do the updates automatically, doesn't mean they take sometimes

Yeah, there's the rub, right? Good point. If you got a legacy device, it becomes a bit more complicated and then you got some hardcore people out there that are still using like the old iPhones, like iPhone five and four. So they got to jailbreak their stuff through this specific software that is built for their device, but they technically could still use the apps

Like today, I am blazing through my battery because of Swell, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to charge my phone probably, maybe it's 150 now, probably when I get home, like around five or maybe six or 07:00 p.m.. I'm probably going to have to charge it for a little while. But yeah, as far as the updates, you know what, I'm not as diligent with the updates as I used to be

And the consequences of that anyway, it made me think of I don't know if you've seen the movie with Jude Law and Fortis Whitaker called Repo Men anyway, a whole conversation could happen out of that. But I digress. I don't really use the app on the iOS device because for a while there it was crashing all the time

But there was a period of time when you could have manually upgraded as you did before. We force upgraded, but around once the Android and the iOS versions went live, before we put the announcement of what the new features were. So there was a small period of time, you're right, where somebody could have updated and others did not. But that window was a small window. It was like a six, eight hour window
