What films have you not had a chance to watch yet that everyone already saw?

And I think I've heard so much bits and pieces of the film that I kind of get the gist of it, but I guess I could still watch it. But what are some movies that you have yet to see that the whole world seems like has already seen by now. I can list a couple of movies off the top of my head. Titanic still have yet to see Titanic. But I'm always hearing about the film, all the Indiana Jones films

I too have not seen Lord of the Rings, and I've also not seen Star Wars. And that's probably the biggest disgrace ever, considering I'm a huge Sci-fi fan. I do plan on watching them. I just haven't found the time or like the usually it's not at the top of my list. I have a huge long list to the floor, so yeah, I don't know if I'll ever see it or not, but Yeah
Dewuan .
@FryedOreoĀ Ā·Ā 2:43
Yeah, I don't get like, T shirts or anything like that, but I appreciate that world, the Mandalorian, for instance. I really am enjoying that show on Disney Plus, probably the only show there is on Disney Plus to watch these days

My husband is a huge movie person. Like, he watches movies all the time. No, I'm like, what movie is that? Okay. Well, he's like, do you want to watch? No, he's like, yeah, I thought so. That's how it is with movies for me, but, yeah, I don't even know what I have watched or have not watched
Dewuan .
@FryedOreoĀ Ā·Ā 4:09
So I remember watching a lot of stuff Saturday Night Live, Kids in the hall, stuff that also I'm pretty sure I have to preface these were popular TV shows back in the day because I have a feeling you don't know a lot of pop culture, which you kind of remind me of somebody that's kind of interesting. I wonder how you are with music. Are you kind of similar with music? I'm kind of like that with music myself
Shahnaz Ahmed
@bookishpodcastĀ Ā·Ā 5:00
I mean, if it's really like loud and hard rock, I'm like, forget it. No, thank you. I like the standards like real classic stuff. Sinatra, that kind of stuff. And I'm running out of time
Dewuan .
@FryedOreoĀ Ā·Ā 4:33
I need that stimulation to kick the idea into play into orbit. And without that, it just doesn't work as much for me. Yeah, of course. You're a fan of the books being that you're bookish. So I guess I'm going to have to listen to the podcast now I'm intrigued enough
Shahnaz Ahmed
@bookishpodcastĀ Ā·Ā 2:15
But you're just so selfish that you're just not going to give it to people. So, yeah, which one is it? Juan, I've got you in a corner here. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just messing with you. My book is actually fiction. It's an own voice is fiction. It just own voices, as in hashtag owned voices and a woman's fiction addressing, I guess, arranged marriages and a woman's journey through this

I've only officially been podcasting as far as labeling myself a podcaster for maybe like three years, four years. But I've been doing social audio and chat room voice stuff for probably like 1015 years, something like that probably longer. So yeah, that's what I had meant to say about that. So sorry in advance. And I know you're just saying it ingest. So it's all good. Yeah
I think that the movies for me anyway were very rich, very immersive. And when it came, it's not. The word I want is given a real word. Anyway, the books. I like to think that I have a vivid imagination, but I found the books so shallow and description and like, I wanted more and it just wasn't there. And so I didn't feel as connected. I don't know if any of this makes any sense
Dewuan .
@FryedOreoĀ Ā·Ā 3:02
So I remember seeing Sam Raimi Spiderman One and Two, and it kind of got me into one to read comics. So I started reading comics and very quickly on the business side of things with films and movies. When they adapt things, they obviously have to rip up the narrative somewhat to fit a movie screen or television series. And then they want to kind of bring new ideas in
Shahnaz Ahmed
@bookishpodcastĀ Ā·Ā 4:51
I know you've talked about Lord of the Rings and the books versus the movies. Okay, I've seen the movies. I have not read the books, which is kind of really unusual for me, because usually I'm a huge reader first, and then maybe I'll give the movie a chance. So Lord of the Rings is something I have not given the books a chance, which is really a whole different story there
Dewuan .
@FryedOreoĀ Ā·Ā 3:39
What an amazing swell. I feel so bad. Although I know you were joking partially about my disdain for Disney animation. You know, I have Disney plus, so there's no excuse. I'm going to have to watch these films. I actually have wanted to watch these films for some time. And as a grown man, I think I'm grown. It's 36 grown. It depends. Some people still see me as a little baby if they're like, you know, up there

Because then the next thing will be, what class of Mercedes? Well, then, if you even say, I don't know, even if you went up like, I think the highest Mercedes is S class. So even if you said I have s class, then they'll be like, well, what s class, though, is it like, I don't know the numbers. After this, I know there's a 500. Is there a 600? I don't know

Yeah, I didn't realize it stopped recording, but yeah, anyway, it fills out this paper and it fills out this paper and both, you know, and every time it comes out, my network comes out as zero, and my husband's net worth comes out out as zero. So we're pretty much 20 net worth individuals just trying to be happy because happiness has zero net worth. Also, by the way, that doesn't even come on the scale. So that's kind of

Well, first off, a big shout out to your husband, and that is the best way to go about it. And that's very cool that he mentioned to me the Broadway musical angle, because it kind of makes sense. You know, those songs that they have have are very kind of they do have that stage presence sort of feel to it. So that's cool. And obviously a lot of stories adapted from Brothers Grim. So I've been getting more into that

I'm a huge fan of classic Hollywood. And yet I have huge gaps. I've never seen Citizen Kane. I love Fred Astaire. I've only seen one of his movies, and it's not a good one. It's the one where he does the blackface. He's so talented. There's so many other good movies I haven't seen yet. Humphrey Bogart. I was 50 years old, 52 years old before I saw The Maltese Falcon and Man, that is an amazing movie
Dewuan .
@FryedOreoĀ Ā·Ā 2:23
Tim, how dare you? You malicious debolakle man. How dare you not see Citizen Cane? I haven't seen any. I haven't seen it either. Of course, it's lauded and praised is what started creative filmmaking with depth and amazing story. Sometimes the first is not always like the most coveted, though. How much people are still using the first ipad, right? Because it's the first. It's just the best

I think there's et people, and then there's the Thing people. And I was more of a Thing guy. So to answer your question, I have yet to see Hereditary, and I know it surprises a lot of people. I just never got around to seeing it. I know people rave about that film. It's the best film horror film of the year. You don't know what you're missing? Well, I do. I know it's a great film
Indy Rishi Singh
@MysticScientistĀ Ā·Ā 1:09
For me. It's been the movie One Night in Miami. So many people have been recommending it to me, especially as I try to build more attention, just trying to, like, get it connected with influencers and celebrities, to talk more and have a conversation about the things going on in India, with the farmers and laborers and many other people starting to come together to just champion a people's movement and then trying to get a hold of them
Dewuan .
@FryedOreoĀ Ā·Ā 2:24
Neil, thank you so much for responding to this. Swell. And funny enough, you mentioned a film that I have also not really seen all that much, but I've seen clips of it. I've seen people talk about it and review it. So, yeah, the thing. Kurt Russell. Yeah, I've seen it in top people's top films to watch Before You Die. That sort of stuff. John Carpenter, right
Dewuan .
@FryedOreoĀ Ā·Ā 2:55
So what I was kind of going for was films that everyone has saw that you haven't seen, like blockbuster tentpole films that were played in theaters that have merchandise with lunch boxes and all that stuff I was talking about, like big films, whereas this is an indie film roughly. So no one's going to see the film generally, not a lot of people, hopefully enough for them to make profit and for it to be a success

Yo, Dewuan, what's up, man? Hey, I could do you one better. Instead of a movie, there's a music video. I have never seen what I've seen like bits and pieces, but I've never seen it completely thriller. I've seen like the Beginning and I'm in but I've never seen the complete video of thriller
Neal Damiano
