Should Racism Be Destroyed?

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
But then I started thinking and this is where we really got into interesting bits of conversation. Why have racism at all? Shouldn't it have been eradicated by now one of those illnesses that were a really weird time in human history? Obviously, this isn't the case, as I fear if we took racism away, we would take certain aspects of individuality away as well. And I think, for instance, black culture would not be as popular as it has been. If racism never existed

Is it a necessary evil for individuality?

So in regards to the latter, maybe not, because it is again an acknowledgment of we are different people genetically now in regards to acting out in violence. Yes, completely eradicated. I mean, as a white person, I truly do not believe that any race is better than one or another. Whites are not better than Blacks. Blacks are not better than whites. Asians are not better than natives. Natives are not better than Hispanics

Me, I personally don't see it. I'm going to be honest, I don't see it. But there is an opinion that, hey, white people are different. The European American is a little bit vastly different from a white American in just different parts of the world. Which brings me to my sort of last thing I wanted to go over. So I did, like an ancestry dot com test, and it turns out that I'm partially to be very generic about it Middle Eastern

We are meant to feel, everything. @Professor42

But that's how I feel, and I don't think it's right to take away a person's feelings the way how they can feel for they were meant to feel for a reason. Now, how you act on those feelings is different. But the notion that you can get rid of any emotion or idea or thought is just silly to me. I don't think it's possible, but you can definitely learn to mitigate those thoughts, those feelings, and those actions over time

I didn't really listen to your thing, but can racism be destroyed? Of course it can be. I think most of your racism is hyped up by the media know they perpetuate it strongly. And I think half of these shootings that you see on the news are, in my opinion, fake news like George Floyd, they bring this up. They bring all these things up to ramp you up to get you to just basically hate each other. I'm not racist. I am black

Can humans not judge? @Hawver

We had industrialized media that we do now, back when media was simply clay tablets with etched stone markings on them and caves with walls of murals painted and art painted. We had racism back then. It's just a human genetic thing. We know very well that feeling of looking at a race and evaluating it. And the judgment judgment is good and bad. It's how we make decisions in the world. Right? So judging others is a human trait. That's just what we do

Dewan. This is a very timely post, and I went back and listened to your original post twice, you know, one to make sure I have your point, right. And then two just to make up for anyone who hasn't listened to it. But anyway, I'm posting a picture picture here of something that happened in a community that I belong to on Twitter where somebody posted this picture. It is a joke about the new CDC testing and being fortune cookies

🤝 @Phil

There were signs that literally said, colored only the government approved this. This was not simply just a couple of bad apples who were racist. This was government sanctioned segregation. I don't think that was coincidental. I don't think this was merely just an isolated situation. This was what happens when humans get in power. And as of this power and how they remain powerful is separating the social classes, the economic classes. It just so happens that in America, this strongly was tied towards race

Pre judgement will never stop

I'm using all my verbal cues to determine is this person a threat to me? I am prejudging this person to determine whether this person is a threat to me. And I think you see that in the animal Kingdom all the time. Mama Bear is going to assess the situation and determine whether the person, the thing, the animal is a threat to her cub. And I don't think that will ever go away. I think we do that

Building blocks of morality and ethics. @Phil

And sure, they can do that in a day, maybe even that moment. But the way how life works, the way how reality works and how it shapes our perception. There's just only a matter of time before we will succumb to the spectrum of emotion. But thank you so much, Phil, for adding weight and depth to this topic as it was meant to be

People in China were fighting against each other. And so now you have Taiwan, and you have Hong Kong and all these other little Islands, Vietnam, which they're all the same people. But there was a fight within these groups that happened that had nothing to do with racism but had everything to do with hatred and politics, of course. But in the end, it's all based on hate and politics

Thank you @LadyO

I feel that is the reason simply just because a person looks different than you, that's all that's really needed look different than you eat different food than you might smell. Different than, you know, features might look different than yours. These are things that are simple observations. But when one is prideful in their identity, they tend to feel there the most in spite of others

@FryedOreo

It's the only way to destroy the hatred is just to allow everyone to justify B. So, yeah, I think it's about superiority. And thank you so much for your response

Racism is one of the biggest, biggest social evils in this society. I mean this society can't live without discriminating or dividing people. That is just what destroys the society every time that is, is what divides and that is what the weakness of the society is all the time. And that's why it is important for racism to be destroyed. It should be eradicated, it should be abolished, but there should be nothing like racism in this world ever
