Pontification vs Communication

article image placeholderCommunication vs pontification: How to tell the difference
It's very boring when you do that, at least for me when I get in this zone of just putting stuff out there, you know, just for me and not for others. But I thought this article would be a nice tool for you, perhaps to utilize to post better stuff or just talk better in general, at least to consider other options. It certainly has me thinking more about what it is that I want to do

To communicate effectively, do you tailor your vocabulary?

The toss up for me is putting my audience at ease or challenging the audience and elevating the conversation, which I hope would be reciprocated. I also hope that if there's a word that someone's unfamiliar with that, either they'd ask me or look it up, and I would love to do the same. I'm always picking up new words, but going either route could be offensive to some, and then it defeats the purpose of putting your audience at ease. So what do you do

Toast to the brave 🍷 @SeekingPlumb

I guess the only thing you can really do is share with others to some degree, to kind of see if you're on base or not. But yeah, I think the audience here is special in a way where it may not necessarily mean that whether it validates or invalidates a statement or an idea that you have, it's good to bounce that off of someone else
