What is your childhood folklore?

article image placeholderUploaded by @folklore
The tape brings back memories of our stepdad Joe serenading loudly to our mom. On Sunday evenings, my brothers and I would hide in our rooms and poke fun at Joe, singing to our mom, not knowing that in my own adulthood, I'd also be listening to Freddy Fender and reminiscing of those childhood years. What is your childhood folklore

The Yellow Submarine https://spoti.fi/38Kq2l2

Luckily, my dad was able to help me out, and we created this submarine out of old Pepsi bottles and duct tape and anything else he had lying around in the garage. But what made it really special outside of the fact that he helped teach me how to get this submarine to float correctly was that my dad didn't just throw it together, and that was it. He helped me figure out how it worked. But then he went the extra step to make it special by painting it yellow

Yellow Submarine as personal narrative #stories

Wow. That was such a beautiful story. Thanks so much for sharing a lot of folklore in what you said. Besides the physical object of Yellow Submarine, what was really interesting for me, for me is just that personal story, that personal narrative that gave us insight into that relationship between you and your father, the lessons that he was passing on to you and the music of the Beatles. I'm really happy that what I shared really triggered his memory
