How do you handle rejection from jobs and internships?

article image placeholderUploaded by @FionaElizabeth
I've applied to want to say over 40 internships over the summer. I've been applying since December because that's when a lot of applications were open and I'm still applying. So I just kind of wanted to come on here today and ask you guys about how do you handle just with applying to these jobs and internships and getting rejected from them

You can always ask how to improve, or follow up with emails!

I think that this is like a very challenging thing to go through and like, handling rejection in different ways and know that it's not anything to do with, like your resume or your skill set or anything like that. Sometimes companies in my experience don't always prioritize a team player or someone that sometimes they just look at your resume and they think they can make a snap judgment about you and that's that, and then they move on

Build that muscle lol

But I will say that something always comes and that door always opens and it's just hopefully you're not too traumatized by the process. You seem to still be in College and really young. So this is coming from someone who's been through multiple layoffs. Okay. Like, I worked in media. I've been on several interviews. I've had some really amazing opportunities, and I've been rejected by others. I was even given a job

I am so sorry to hear that. It sounds like a really trying time, but I agree with both of these ladies. There's always room for improvement, always room to ask what could I have done better? And just kind of always look for ways that you can do better the next time. I think sometimes it's not us and it's just how it's been, how it went because of certain other factors. But yeah, definitely just keep going. Be resilient

And you just have to remind yourself that it's fine and just keep applying, because in the end, you'll end up with internship that you're meant to end up with, and it's going to work out. It's not like an end of deal type thing. Me and my roommate were actually just talking about this the other day, though, because she came up to me. I just got like five rejections for internships this summer. I need to go apply for more

I have not been rejected but yeah as I am in my 1st 1st year so they need insurance from second year so they just told me that I am not right now experienced enough to get the job but yeah in case I lose something or I get rejected from something so I just think that there is a better option waiting for me and instead of getting Dee motivated I work on myself for the next thing that I want

I started getting recognized on LinkedIn and I started getting job offers from not job offers, but internship offer from companies like there's a company, there's a start up and a lot more on my personal mobile number. And I was shocked to see that with just one job and a great gold pass, I got it's going beyond. And then I got Amazon rare gold pass and then Google cloud certifications

You gotta just see if you can make the job jealous. Let them know what they missed. Like, you gotta I don't know if the job has a sister. If the job has a sister, then just start dating the sister. Or start dating, like, their best friend. Like, let them know that, like, they missed out and you're making somebody else in their life happy. Now. They don't need you. You don't need them. Actually
