Finding my voice

article image placeholderUploaded by @Find_My_Voice
Thank you so much for listening. My name is Tanzy. I am an introvert and an aspiring public speaker who cannot stand public speaking. My plan is to use this platform to get better acquainted with hearing myself talk, give me the opportunity to get out of my head, to share some of the things that I have been cherishing and ruminating on between my own ears. I want to get used to letting my voice echo and allowing myself to be heard and allowing myself to be seen

I think a lot of people who've been on here for a couple of years find themselves more confident in their voice and more playful with words and more sort of cavalier about the fact that we've all been given this incredible tool. Most of us are lucky enough to have the tool of speaking. And what happens between two people when there's words and conversation? Is there's potential?

And what I have found is I well, let me start over. I started out on Swell as a way to expand my business. I said I'm going to get on the platform and I'm going to use this as a micro podcast for my business. After my first 48 hours on the platform, I said, no change in plans. I am using this for me, this is solely for me

In conclusion

I was so into my message to you, I don't know where I cut off at. And you know what? I didn't even bother to go back to see where it ended. I wanted to formally conclude and say, welcome to the platform. Feel free to chime in at any time on one of my swellcasts. I'll stay tuned to your swellcast. I am open to feedback and suggestions the same as you are

And I'm glad that this is so trackable. I thought for a second of deleting the very first one, and then I thought, you know what? I want to keep it because I have strong inclination that I'm going to get better and better at this and I want to be able to see where I started and where I end up. So I appreciate your response. Thank you so much

But to be able to respond in person in the privacy of my own home at my time, when my energies are right on a conversation or a topic that I find meaningful, and to have dialogue with somebody about it is a great way. I'm also a healthcare professional. I'm a physical therapist. And so I spend lots of time talking to people about how to take care of their bodies. And it's an area that I could talk about easily for hours

Hi, Tanzy. I really appreciate your vulnerability and your authenticity in sharing. I also can relate as someone who aspires to speak but also feels challenged and uncomfortable with speaking. And even the interest and determination that you have is very encouraging. So thank you for sharing. I know for us, as introverts, putting ourselves out there can be mortifying, but our voices need to be heard as well

Brandy. It's always nice to hear from a fellow introvert. Thank you for your response. Thank you for actually commenting. I think that was one of my first swell cast that I did, and it was good for me when you responded. I went back and listened to it, and already in a few short weeks, I definitely see an improvement in my speaking style and something that I'm growing to love, growing to find
