Hello, swell talkers and movie fans. Today is the first episode of down the Rabbit Hole Horror Edition. So to kick things off, I decided I was going to sit down and watch a movie I'd been wanting to watch for a while, but was saving it for the right moment. And this seems like the best time to do that. So the movie is the black phone. So this one was a fun one

I kind of struggle with watching kids on on screen unless they're really good with any actor. But with kids, it's so, like, I don't know, it's more noticeable. But, yeah, your review is really convincing me to bump it up on my list because I'm not a huge fan of horror or, like, gore or scary things just for the sake of it. I like a little story. I like a little thrill

It. I am actually 100% with you when it comes to children actors. What I have learned is that children actors tend to be very much hit or miss when it comes to movies. And in the context of horror specifically, I don't want to say we usually get like the bottom of the barrel when it comes to acting talent, because that's not entirely true. A lot of people have there's been great names that have come from the horror genre

So the fact that they kind of brought that into this horror theme, I don't even know if I like calling it a horror movie because it is real. More on the suspense side. And you've seen it, so you kind of know how it goes. But I loved it for that. And that was a really good movie. And just like you said, it surprised me
