Have you ever wondered why two people who were in relationships choose to be friends after they break up? Obviously, I think there are two things here. One, it was just a very casual thing and both of them were literally not into each other and they chose to break up and it was fine. They didn't have any kind of deep rooted feelings towards each other so they could be friends
