Opinion : Mandatory Counseling for New Marriages/ Parents

But either way, I don't know, but you have to realize taking the person I am that you take that to a relationship. I'm not the type of person that let people get to know me very well. The women have a hard time, and I'm very complicated to them and imagine if it was a baby on top of that

And that was sort of a little teeny glimpse into what you're talking about. It was not as long an engagement, but it was centered around the idea that, wow, you're getting into this. When I talk about it, I perform wedding ceremonies. And one of the things I do with the people I marry is over a couple of months, period

That's like saying, enjoy this hot water being really hot for a minute. It's okay. I went through that. But the person going through immediate pain at that time. So it's a lot going on. And you said the wedding, you get to know them over the course of months. And you see that parenting completely different and value system because one thing that isn't said in love is how much you actually think alike or how much you can cooperate

I think that a lot of people will get into marriages and we'll get together with people before they know who they are before they know what they want in a marriage, before they know how they feel about certain things, what their love languages are really important situations. And then once they get into those marriages, they feel like the for better or for worse, covers differences like that, like fundamental, serious differences that should be taken seriously. Anyways, I agree with you on that

I completely agree with you with your infatuation versus actual real love and real understanding of a person and actually wanting to be with a person because it is right versus what feels good and what's easiest at the time. So I immediately whenever you said that, that I immediately did the little clap hand thing because I just felt like that really needed to be said in this thread. So thank you for that perspective

We need to see more experience, more and stuff. And that's completely fine and stuff. But I say I'm talking about when it comes to a relationship wise or when it comes to before you have the kid. It's important to disclose everything about that person because it's like being with a spy. You don't really want to be with a spy because they're like, Dude, who are you spying for? What do you really do? What is your name?

So while I think it's a good idea for most people to at least examine the concepts that would come up in counseling, I don't think enough people who would benefit from it sort of realize that if that makes sense. So it's like anything as part of the legal system or as people get court mandated counseling if they don't buy into it it's not going to go anywhere. So that's kind of my stance on that it
