And so what you would find yourself doing is leaning on your peers for certain advice, certain things. And if we're all learning, and truthfully enough, we learn at different points in our life, but if we're all still in a certain learning curve and we're all around the same age, it may not do us that much good
The biggest thing for me now is applying that in my life at 41 years old, walking into a professional organization for the very first time, right? And impressing everybody that I've come and come in contact with has been because I was taught how to do all the things that I told you, how to be that person that walks into the room and gets to know people by name. All of those things, right?

Literally all my jobs I ever had was me saying, hey, I want to do something like this, and literally did it. Now, where I'm struggling is that at this age, I thought I would be so much further along. I made so many different mistakes. I have the mindset, I have the drive, but I don't have the income to do certain things. I don't have the resources or the people to drive with

Hello? This is Michael. It's interesting you say that, because I hadn't really thought about what you said. When it comes to other people in my line of work, I'm thinking your environment dictates how you're influenced to make decisions. And a good mentor is usually somebody like your mother, your father, your aunt, your uncle. Older sisters and I grew up with three older sisters, two dads, a mom, and my mom got remarried young

Thank you so much for your response. It was definitely very insightful and helpful. And it just basically confirms what I've been thinking, is to put myself around other people and make conversations and all of that. That's one of my bad things. I'm not really that good at it certain context. Like if there's other people around and stuff like that, I do not do well at just making random conversations with strangers
