America's Masculinity Peoblem

article image placeholderUploaded by @EricG
On more than 40 years of research showing that an emotional castration of masculinity is psychologically harmful and that socializing voice, to suppress their emotions, causes damage that echoes both inwardly and outwardly. And so traditional masculinity now joins patriarchy as an abstract but menacing force that exercises complete power over its hapless conduits, meaning men, who then wield it to harm excuse me to harm everyone else. The report is heavily biased against masculine characteristics, which are asserted without proof to be harmful and which psychologists are encouraged to quash

I think a lot of this has to do with the fact that we had a recent war that the popular zeitgeist or I guess the cool thing to say is that we lost this war or that was pointless and that even right now we have a deficit of one 1 million military enlisted. And you have this mechanism where the masculine father, the overly aggressive father, gives way to a kind of more effeminate boy or less masculine boy

You know what makes a man masculine? What keeps a man masculine? Steak. Red meat, beef burgers. What's popular right now? Oh, well, meat is murder. Red meat is bad for you. Never touch it again. Just live off of soy for the rest of your life. You know, there's these concepts of soy boys and really just a feminine men

But when it comes to people personal workout and how they want their body to look and what they view as masculinity, because some women too some women are viewed this way as well, and so very masculine because their body is definitely toned, definitely more less feminine, more masculine. But then just because they have a nice body, they have all these definition, doesn't mean that they're trying to be that it's a slippery slope. It just is. It's very slippery

I think you and I are on the same page. It's a real problem. I don't think you and I are alone are going to solve it, but all we can do is be men and stay healthy and try and pass along what we learned to our younger generation and hope for the best. Thanks, man. Have a great weekend

And one thing for sure that traditional or historically contemporary masculine identity is the inability to express emotions, the inability to critically think. And so I think I probably have a different view to you in this perspective, but just want to know what you see as a strong man. Because for me, it's someone that can navigate a modern world and kind of dismantle the problematic attributes of masculinity while portraying, educating and spreading the positive attributes. Thanks so much

Going back to the Masculinity problem, if you listen to Rogen's most recent podcast that might have come out today, they must have heard you with Andy Stump and what is his name, mike. Sorrell about 20 minutes into the podcast, they start going into basically the Masculinity problem, as well as basically people disparaging the military being too difficult for people, as well as people being more entitled while expecting to be able to do the same or less

I'll look into that, and then I'll listen to that. And yes, I am aware of the recent news regarding the military is too hard. As a matter of fact, I made a note to myself to do a podcast on that. It's all part of the agenda of weakening America. That's all it is. And you know who also is a good resource for this conversation would be Mike Row. I don't know if you listen to him at all

Everyone else just jumped in. It was kind of like I see it as a shark feeding frenzy, and everyone saw it as an opportunity to go after us and remove our you know what and take away what's ours by birth. And whether or not we want that to happen or not, that's up to us. That's our choice. We can either be strong, masculine men and good male role models to our sons, or we can not be. That's a choice

Hey, Eric, thanks for the response, man, and the extension of the conversation. I appreciate it. It's clear things up a little bit in the sense that I feel like I have a better understanding of your perspective on it. And I think you and me might think differently about a few key issues around around modeling of genders and what men are supposed to be in the world. And I'll also make a comment that I'm not American
