Wisk Aviation Air Taxi Update

article image placeholderUploaded by @EricG
The air taxi service will make use of general aviation airports and helipads. The booking process will be really easy just book your trips on your phone like you do with Uber or Lyft. But those ride sharing solutions will be a part of the Whisk air taxi service, meaning you will need ground transportation from the point of landing to work and back to get the air taxi home. So let's take a realistic look at the cost for commuters

Wow. I have not heard about this. And I don't think I would ever get on a plane without someone flying the plane. That was the first thing that came up in my head when you were sharing this. I don't even think I would ever feel confident getting in a car that a person wasn't driving. But yeah, that's just how I feel about this new technology. But who knows in the future, if I will have to change my mind on that

It saves you so much time. I'm a private pilot, actually, just for fun. I fly small planes. And yeah, if I could fly to work every day and figure out a way to get there, I'd fly the thing myself. Unfortunately, that's not out there yet in the sense of that accessibility in terms of cost. But anyhow, I thought it was interesting that you were talking about this. I just read about it recently, so kudos

We know that airlines like to charge their money when they can, but it would be nice to know that if they were able to cut some of that cost and they would trickle down to passengers in the form of savings. Just something to think about, maybe just time. And it will change
