I've seen households where the parents are alcoholics, and I've seen a lot of different things just growing up in the projects. And I know that I've seen that and seen the person grow up. And I've tipped my hat to most of the people that survive bad parenting or negative experiences with their parents. They didn't turn out to be horrible people. They turned out to be loving people

I know my child can't do it. My child needs me by stating little things like that. You're teaching your child that, no, you can't do it without your mom. I know you're talking about the narrative of parents saying something really negative, which I've also heard like, you're an idiot or something. Why are you so stupid? Things like that really have bearing on a child's psyche
