Where is your favorite winery?

article image placeholderUploaded by @ElliotK
Well, it has been a very, very crazy couple days here. So I just wanted to ask the question to the community. If you've been to wine country and you've been around the area, what is your favorite winery? Where do you love to go? What is a hidden gem that you think no one else knows about, or if they do, it's a well kept secret in the community or to most people around

Kate, thank you again for your wonderful input. I appreciate it. And I've got some new places to check out. Now I'm really excited to try. Paul Matthews, My wife and I are currently on a no drinking diet along with a couple of other things. So it will be a few months till we have the opportunity to go out and visit. But we are excited and I've got a few new places to put on my list, so thank you very much. Bye

I also wanted to add that I was trying to reorient this photo to the proper position, although it looks like it just kept putting it sideways. This is a great shot from Burgess Sellers. For anybody that is interested up on Hal Mountain, this is probably one of the lowest spots that can actually be called Hall Mountain. I believe it's at 1800ft, which is where the Hall Mountain region technically starts. So it's a great spot or 1600ft something around those lines

A couple of places I enjoyed

And I think they just have a beautiful deck and porch that kind of overlooks the Valley. So you have this wonderful view while drinking bubbles and kind of clearing your palate. If you're going to be on a red wine tasting day, there's a place up on Silverado Trail called Dariosh. I found this place. I was going somewhere else past this place and they have these huge columns, these Greek columns and fountains and looks completely out of place compared to everything else there

Phil, thank you so much. Excellent contributions there. Love all of those places that you mentioned as well and have a very fun have many very fun stories from Del Dado or as some of the locals call it, Del Elblato, because if you go, there should be your only stop for the day. They are very generous with their pores. So if you're thieving wine out of a barrel, necessarily measure everything exactly as they would out of a bottle. So great spots
