Late Night Motivation + Thoughts on Maverick City Music

article image placeholderUploaded by @EasySpeaks
It's certainly not Christian hiphop or R, amp B or anything along those lines. It's just music, and it's just worship whatever category you want to put it in. That's what it is. But you know what? They're doing it. They're moving. They're creating a lane for themselves. Right. And I respect them for that. I respect them for that. And the lane that they created, they created it. They do it really well

I was up late tonight, listening to some uplifting podcasts. I felt compelled to hit record 😌. #Music #motivation #ministry #easyspeaks

I think it's really amazing, and especially trying to pigeonhole a particular genre so that you can make sense of it sometimes limits your ability to enjoy it, whether it's hip hop or gospel, it's really about where it hits you in your soul and if it makes you want to get up and respond to whatever it is that's vibrating in you. I think music is so powerful that way because it really does kind of it's a great metaphor

You may agree, may disagree, whatever the case might be with this opinion that I'm putting out there, I hope you take some time to think about what was said and finish doing your research about Mary City and other gospel artists and what they're doing and what they're not doing. You have a blessed day. Bye

Message received 🙏🏾

Hey, Elijah. P. K here. Hopefully you can hear me, because I am outside. I really enjoyed your swell. And I and I love that message to get up and move what you were given and thank you for sharing that with us. And I think I find too, like, late at night too, I get those same sort of inspiring thoughts or moments or whatever it is. And what I would I really always find is this is expression

Replying to you all - thank you for swelling with me :)

I did that probably six plus years ago at this point, for the most part. And it's really for one to be able to move in the light or in the way of God, but also just knowing and understanding that the feeling that you get when you listen to a certain type of music is not the feeling that I always want. Right. I love music. I appreciate music for what it is, but my happy place is usually that of a Christian genre
