"…Let us then acquire the world again, as though a black Pearl Lake glistening on Swan Moss in the rain past the second Hill, now a swath of pure slate Gray, a chalkboard, a void, a screen ready for writing or technical instruction shaped like a lip to master it, to study all nights and all day leading up to the test we have set before us as the numbers begin to tumble down the screen as though upon the surface of a calm still Lake or ice Lake so clear it appears as water, not one flaw or imperfection suspended there, quiet.…"
