He is always intentionally confusing his fans. It's gotten to the point where his fans don't expect him to release an album on the date that he says that it's going to be released. I have never seen an artist do this with his fans, announce a release date and then just keep postponing it and not giving it to his fans. I have never seen this done before, and his audience never turns on him for it because Kanye is a genius. He is a music genius

He's manipulating people's emotions in order to get the outcome that he wants months. So that's a different question. The difference between manipulation and gaslighting. But, yeah, thank you for raising this issue
