It's a matter of your opinion. It doesn't have to be based in logic or fat, because it's just a matter of how you feel. I want to know how you guys define what is underrated. Maybe a movie you like is under underrated because it doesn't get seen by a lot of people. Or maybe a singer you like is underrated, in your opinion because they haven't won that many awards. I just want to know how you guys define underrated

I don't consider those folks classic rock and roll, because to me, classic rock and roll is the Isley Brothers, Tina Turner, Chuck Berry, the original creators of rock and roll is what I consider classic rock and roll. But rock and roll was essentially appropriated by white people and their taste skewed our conception of what classic is to begin with in terms of rock and roll. Whenever it comes to black artists
Dominique, this is great. It's sparking an interesting conversation. And Charlie, I have to say, that is an excellent analysis that you did right there at the beginning of your swell. It's incredible how selective some people can be about when certain things became groundbreaking or who was responsible necessarily for making something or go to that next level for something to really take off. It's very convenient to forget about the origins of Blues and jazz and rock in this country

This is an interesting question because it kind of gauges one's barometer for culture in terms of finding something unique about it, because when you talk about something being underrated, like you said, that anyone can make the argument for anything that's underrated, but being able to put together a well placed argument or debate, it can get people to think differently
