Can Too Much Nostalgia Be A Bad Thing?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Dominique
You don't want to neglect your own characters from your own trilogy, but you also want to please people who are there to watch Toby Maguire as Spiderman and Andrew Garfield as Fireman. You want to be able to please your own audience, but also people who are there for someone in particular. Hopefully the people who are going to watch no Way Home are there because they just want to watch a good Spider Man movie

I've been a Spiderman fan for as long as I can remember. I grew up absolutely adoring the comic books and the animated show, and I find that with every iteration of Spiderman that has come out since I've I sort of feel less and less in love with it. Now this trailer sort of gave me the opposite experience, and I think that to your point, it's probably because of that nostalgia factor

Hi. Thanks for the Swelt. It's interesting, because one of the things my 20 year old son told me yesterday that he was really, really excited that the new Spider Man movie was coming out in December, and he's been a fan of it since he was four or five years old when we had the Tobey McGuire Spiderman movie come out. And I remember him dressing up as Spiderman and reenacting Spiderman. And he's since then become a more mature fan of Marvel and DC comics in general

And still, it's uncertain if Andrew or Toby is coming for a cameo, or they are going to fight beside Tom Holland Spiderman, though they are using too much nostalgia to make the fans excited. I think I won't mind if the story and everything in the movie goes well for me. I don't think nostalgia has to do anything with the overall movie. It totally depends on the story itself

@Dominique Thank you: Food for my thought 😁

So if I was supposed to be going to see this one based on that, it probably wouldn't happen. It wasn't felt slightly disappointed to be honest, but anyway, but thank you. This was really good. I appreciate it. Looking forward to hearing more of your critical analysis of these hero storylines. You have an amazing day. Bye
