The second book that I prefer over the movie is The Separate Wives. I watched the movie first and I enjoyed it, but I read the book not too long afterwards and the book was like a five star read for me, and the movie was more like a four star. I feel like the pacing of the film is what damages it. In my opinion, while the book is short and it keeps the story really effective that way, and that's why I prefer the book over the movies
