I'm not knocking anyone who makes this music or anyone who likes this music. I'm just surprised that this is still where country is in terms of their male artists. It just sounds like something that would have been released in the 90s, not the 2020s. And what makes it even more distracting is that there are artists in this genre who are making more music that fits for the time. You have female artists like Mickey Guy who is talking about race
