So basically like, whatever you would guess. Also, inadequate mental health care is also a huge issue for the LGBTQ community. In the 2021 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health by the Travel Project, it was revealed that in the past year, nearly half of the youth who wanted counseling from a mental health professional did not receive it. And this makes me so sad? Because everyone deserves help. Everyone deserves adequate with mental health care, and everyone deserves to be happy, so Yeah

But yeah, okay. I completely diverted from the topic, but there's some books for mental health support as well. There's something called Headquarters LGBTQ Writers and Artists on Mental Health and Wellness. It's a collection of personal reflections and artistic representations illustrating the intersection of mental wellness, illness and LGBTQIA identity, as well as the lasting impact of historical views, equating queer and trans identity with mental illness

So I'm not feeling like I'm in a difficult situation and being misgendered at the same time as me trying to find a safe space for me to be able to work on my other problems. I don't want to be worrying about being misgendered when I'm here to receive support. So I think that while people feel like LGBTQ plus specific mental health services are not needed, they absolutely are
