A more personal example that I've experienced would be being told by adults that it's really sunny and hot outside. Hence, I need to cover up. Otherwise I would turn dark. Apparently, there's a taboo of girls and having dark skin. Another such struggle was waxing. And how as a girl, I need to be hairless.
