Hello, hello, my name is Deshatazgaokar. I am a German translator by profession from Pune, India. I have always been a voracious reader and an aspiring novelist. I published my debut poetry book, Lost in the Labyrinth of Love last year in 2021 and have been published in more than 20 anthologies. I am currently working on my second book for the past three years, written solely on disability to spread awareness

The other reason being my dysfunctional family which further pushed me to seek solace in the company of books. Hence, I started running away from the reality surrounding me and I found my peace in books, in the world of imagination. In my 6th grade I read a book, David Copperfield by Charles Dickens and I was instantly fascinated and that's when I realized that I wanted to become like him. Strong, expressive

For me, the most important factor has to be relatability. I think the more I identify with the story, the more it resonates and it helps to strike a chord. Second factor would be simplicity. The language has to be lucid and the story clear. The elements shouldn't be more complex or beyond the comprehension of the readers. I think it's very important the way the story is put across. It all boils down to crisp storytelling to keep your readers hooked and on tenterhooks throughout

Something that we keep running from, something that I kept running from, such as depression, dysfunctional, childhood, past, traumas of relationships, et cetera. I think Sylvia's poetry personified that strength indeed lies in vulnerability. She will always be my favorite, and I resonate with her books, and that's the reason I am more of a confessional poet just like her. And her books have always been an inspiration for me

It focuses more on self healing and self love. It also Paves way for self reflection. She nudges us to endorse self love and says that it's okay to feel what you're feeling right now because we need to take all the good as well as the bad in our stride, equally in equal measures. This book has helped me sleep better better whenever I am in low spirits. So whenever I feel down and dumps, I make sure I just open the book and I start reading randomly

So always remember that you don't have to be good right from the start. You can always improve it later and how you're going to improve your writing skills by reading. So like I said before, read Be a voracious reader. Bye

Hi Zanab You've really reminded me of my best friend. I think I should give her a call soon. Everything you say holds true, especially the fact that you said a best friend is more like a sibling. And even if you do argue or fight, sometimes at the end of the day you just have this kind of understanding of each other that goes beyond you guys'fights and petty issues. So thank you for sharing. Hi Disha, thank you for sharing
