Discussing 1A: Anarchism. Not just for Johnny Rotten

article image placeholderWhat Is Anarchism? : 1A
And to be honest with you, there's a lot of similarities in anarchism and being a libertarian. That's my take on it anyways, but very interesting, curious on what other people thought of this show on anarchism

Regarding anarchy

I'm going to have to check out that show. Thanks for putting that out there. It's not uncommon for anarchy to be confused with chaos. It's a simple term. It just means no rulers or no King, if you like. Unfortunately, it's more of an umbrella term that a lot of different groups have applied to themselves. And it doesn't always mean what any one person would like it to mean. I prefer a voluntarily. That's the word that I use voluntarily

Libertarianism and anarchy

There's two things I wanted to add. The first thing you said about anarchy, sounding like libertarianism is because, in essence, if you are consistent libertarian, you move towards an anarchist framework because I don't have the right to rule you and you don't have the right to rule me. There is no right to rule anyway. And I just had one other. Who is that, Johnny that you were talking about?

The right to rule question

All right. So I've listened to the first part of that show, and it was very good. The only thing I would squabble with it about is that anarchy is not about a financial system. There can be anarchists who have a socialist structure to their community. There can be anarchists that have a capitalist segment to their community. In fact, most of the people I know believe in a free market. Most of the anarchists that I'm aware of believe in a free market
