Trauma Series Pt.1

So I'm just kind of curious how most of you have worked through your trauma or how you are currently accessing trauma. Are you able to pack it away? Do you pull it out and keep it out and it just affects your everyday lives? Just something curiosity wise that I've always just thought about because I know, obviously I'm not alone in the world and experiencing trauma. A lot of trauma that I experienced started when I was a child

I know theater has always been that for me, and I also have done a lot of work through embodiment and using breath and sound and movement to work through trauma. And I really resonated when you said that you just carry it, that it's always there, you can tap into it. I feel like I experienced that as well, where it's like, oh, I can easily tap back into it

And I've always thought, like, okay, I need to suppress it, but I think the container is a good way of having a good balance between creating space for it, but also not having it affect every moment of yours life. So, yeah, thank you for sharing. And I'm looking forward to hearing more from you

So, yeah, thank you so much for this because it seems like right now as humanity, we're going in the direction of becoming more emotionally intelligent. And so dealing with these traumas is going to be something that becomes more normalized, I hate to say, but just a common practice, especially with Kendrick Lamar's new album that just dropped Mr. Morale and how the whole entire album, every song is basically challenging and expressing emotional intelligence for himself. And he's pretty much doing shadow work
