Hello. Hi. Swell people. As I'm preparing to wind down on this wonderful Tuesday evening, I'm wondering, what do you collect? Why do you collect it? How long have you been collecting it, and how many items are in your collection? Would love to hear and anything else about this that you like to share?

You. Thank you. Some things I collect. I collect old fashioned small pencil sharpeners. My grandmother started me on those. She would give them to me. I like to write, ever since I was a little kid. And I'm still writer. And she would give me a little old fashioned pencil sharpener, and they would come in these blue boxes, and they're little antique looking, and you could get them at flea markets

It. Oh, homo sanity. You know, you left me wondering what it is you collect that is private, so I won't ask, but I'm wondering. My mind is churning, actually. So you have quite a few collections. That's interesting for me because I am just starting to collect and I haven't put my answer, and I'll do that in another reply. But, yeah, you've been into this for a while. The mad magazines. Wow

You. Okay, so here's what I collect. And I actually just started collecting these in 2021. I started to collect refrigerator magnets. I guess they're just magnets. I could put them anywhere, right? But they're magnets of different cities and states that I visit. And I guess at this point, it started out being states that I've gone to for the first time, major cities for the first time

I buy them everywhere I possibly can. Swap meets any and all festivals I go to, or just looking around online. I follow this really cool Instagram account that makes the most unique ones and I've bought a couple from them. I buy a ton from Etsy. Yeah, just a lot of random places and then writing instruments. I am a writer, but I'm not really sure where that came from

And that was up in the Bronx. But anyway, those are my what do you call it, my things that I collect, but not really as if I set out to collect them. I have collected a number of things over the years, and I feel like I've slowly started to realize that I like collecting things that are sort of vintage or could potentially retain their value over the years or perhaps even get a little bit more expensive down the road. There were a lot of things that I used to collect that I realized had no real tangible value you out in the world other than the value that it brought me from memories I had
