Are Courage and Stupidity the same?

article image placeholderUploaded by @DearAuntyAng
You could say old, you can say seasoned, you could say mature. You've reached middle age. But yeah, when I got memories of being an adult that reached back 20 years. I'm not talking about childhood 20 years ago. I'm talking about working and having a kid 20 years ago. Yeah, I need a moment. Upperclipped starting to feel old here. Anyway, let me get back on track

If it works out—you’re courageous. If it backfires—you’re stupid!

I don't think that makes that person stupid, because we all know starting a business, you're taking a risk and you may not always come out on top. And they may have done some stupid, may have made some stupid decisions regarding their business, but I think in general, the wanting to start something that we all know may have a risk, I just don't see that as stupid. But, yeah, I feel like courage is something way more deep than that

I saw a woman, a video of a woman who stuck her head out of the window of a moving car and ended up striking her head on a pole and died. And now if that shot had turned out perfect, we would have been like, wow, that's bad, man. Wow, she's just fearless and we will be celebrating her. But since the outcome was terrible, she ended up dying

It's been weighing heavily on my mind lately about I go to a boot camp gym. It's a 30 minutes hit training workout, and it's a lot of body weight exercises, a lot of weight training. And I started going to these gyms back in 2016, and me always, I used to love a good hit workout. All the different hard exercises, all the push ups, the burpees, the pull ups, the bear crawls, all the things

And there's a whole lot of people I know that wouldn't work at Know to save their life, but he did because I needed some extra money, and it helped him out when he was ready to move. So courage is, yeah, I got to work at walmart. Hey, what the heck? I'll wear a blue vest because I'm going to do what I got to do because I need money, right? That's courage

So my fitness coach, she could have trained hard for this competition, ended up literally with a national title, ended up with more exposure, because this woman's been, like, on Oprah and everything back in the day, even more exposure

You. Hi, Tanya. I had to do a part two because I cut off at my five minutes and I was at outside my mom's place and didn't have WiFi. But I was saying that being older, we definitely have more to lose, right? Even when I tell people that my goal is not to retire from state government, I got 20 years in. Obviously I got another 20 years before I'm retirement age. That's never been the goal

Y'all can pause and let that marinate. It's a lot to take in, trust me. When I first heard the concept I was huh, okay, that makes sense. How can I appreciate I say that I like warm weather. How can I say that I really appreciate and value warm weather if I only know warm weather? I would have had to experience cold to say I truly appreciate warm weather. Otherwise it's just the temperature is 89 degrees Fahrenheit, period. Okay, that makes sense

And I believe once, even from a mental health and positivity mindset point of view, if more were to take on this concept, I believe we will make great strides towards having less anxiety, less people walking around with decreased confidence because they will have the understanding that they are doing the thing and all outcomes are courageous and successful and beneficial versus leaning towards the opposite side, the polar opposite, down the continuum and saying oh no, that was a failure, or no, that was a really stupid idea

These kids out there don't have a care in the world and they're very dangerous. But for some reason I was able to get through to them and this trip was a little better. I kept being summoned to come out there and they kept asking me to come out there. So I finally went out there because it was on my conscience because I said that I would come out there. So I basically gave my word. Anyway, topic of discussion. Are courage and stupidity the same?

Coles who gave the example of these people trying to get these great photo, these panoramic views from like the edge of the Grand Canyon or other places like that. To them, it's like, listen, this is how I get paid. Maybe if they're an influencer or photographer, I need these shots. Everybody gets the same shot. I need something different in order to be published

So that's a very interesting, very something that's, like, deep, funny. Like you said, it's real deep. It can kind of go deeper than that, you know what I'm saying? So I'm going to just leave it at that for right now. I just want to tune in and let you know I was listening and hope this was good enough for you. Bye, you. Until next time, my friend. Have a great one. Bye

Like if something isn't working, instead of keep going at it and losing time, money and everything for people to be able to say, well, I did it and I'm done with it now, or I did it and it didn't work out, or I did it for this time period. This time period is done. I gave it a year, I'm done. I like people that can pivot and they're not afraid to do something because you know what?
