NATURE as ART - stunning examples?

article image placeholderUploaded by @DBPardes
Sometimes when I see nature being the best designer I've ever seen, I'm in awe. And I want to just say, who did this? Who designed this? And I've seen it in the ocean. I've seen it in deserts this past week weekend. I saw it at the Huntington Gardens, and I want to post the picture of this particular Cactus because when I first saw it, it reminded me so much of needlework that I've seen and particularly felting with needlework

A person could have knitted this but they didn’t! @gardening

Clouds typically get my attention.

You know, you're driving and you look to the left and you see clouds in the form of the United States of America. It was like, what's happening? What do we need to know right now? But I think I appreciate those moments so much that take us out of our normal day to day, where things seem just you could miss everything because they're so normal

@theJudithLife Joni Mitchell 🌱❤️

Judith, I know exactly what you mean in terms of getting out of ourselves. And I have to quote, Excuse me for the dog. I have to quote Joni Mitchell when she said, bows and flows of Angels, hair and ice cream castles in the air, feather canyons everywhere. I've looked at clouds that way. Remember that? And it's amazing because she wrote that when she was, like, 19. And I recently heard her sing it at like, 72 in some beautiful concert

@DBPardes, did you see anything?

So I just want to say how wonderful it is that you sang. I thought it was so lovely. And I don't think I've ever heard that song. So I'm going to listen to that song today. But yes, thank you so much. That was lovely. I would love to know what you saw if you saw anything. And yes, we will keep looking up. And we will remind ourselves that we will remind each other that the world is magical indeed

I absolutely love the picture of what I call the Cactus, the cacti, and then the white sock, because I literally thought it was a white tube sock that somebody put over one of the other cactuses and then added a little sprinkle of red. It wasn't until I listened to Deborah your swell when I realized that that was actually nature, not something handmade. Then I got thinking, the beauty in it. And in nature and art is the symmetry of it all
