Were you ever mentored and did that affect you and is that why you started looking into this world, or were you ever a mentee? And it was like, wow, this is cool. And one of the great developmental psychologists is Eric Erickson. And he looked at life stages throughout the lifespan and one that he touched upon and that he posited was generativity and that's where we care for others and give back without expecting anything in return. And this happens for us naturally in midlife. So I was curious about this and wanted to learn more about why it is that we give back

And do you feel like I know you've spoken about ageism quite a bit, and you're somebody who could speak to how pernicious that culture is and how much we need to just get it out of our psyche, out of our culture, because it doesn't do anyone any favors?

But they're still eager to be involved in the world, to make a difference, to be able to shape the minds of the next generation, to be able to have some kind of an impact that's really meaningful. So while ageism still exists, it is getting better for all of us as we age. Because we're starting to find a path that works for ourselves. And there are more and more of those
