Have you ever been ADDICTED to a DRUG the doctor gave you?

So he, in his own way, was giving people medicine to help with their pain. Now we know we're an opiate crisis in this country. It's been well documented. But going cold turkey is not the way out of the crisis. And because the DEA just shut him down, his patients were not able to get their meds. So in particular, there's a woman named Jessica Fuhimaki who passed away on December 10. She left a 13 year old and eleven year old

I just feel like now what I'd like to do is complain about that doctor or complain to the medical board that that doctor has never met my son. It was a random phone visit. So an easy way out. It's really confusing

And I just wanted to share my experience that it's been extreme for me on the both ends going overdosage and when I was going through a really dark phase and not taking them at all. And they both have caused a lot of damage and I would never recommend that to anyone

I do wish that there was a drug that we can take to get people off drugs. I just wish it were that simple to trick the brain into not desiring or wanting that. Because really the consequence and the outcome never really is good. The person is just really never the same. And the hope that it has on you, it does trickle over into your families and it just really is not hurting one person. It really spreads out and it's just really sad

This pet peeve was mine. I just want to say that I sincerely believe that most people who turn to pills for pain should instead consider enduring that pain. If they can hurt to whatever extent they can and fix the root cause, whatever is causing the pain, rather than take medicines which are just mandate it's just saying they don't feel the pain, it doesn't really resolve whatever is causing the pain

Thanks so much for sharing this. It helps helps us all and definitely helps me to decide what to do with sending my son away with drugs to help him cope virtually from home. So I really appreciate that. Thank you

Unfortunately, I think that the system is always going to promote pharmaceuticals as a first line intervention. And that's one of the things that I love about naturopathic medicine, is that we have a therapeutic order where regardless of where someone is along the continuum of either having a diagnosis, not having a diagnosis, whatever symptoms they're presenting with
